Sharks On The Flats

Sharks can be caught here in South Florida all year long.  This photo was taken of a father and son duo that came down for some Miami Shark fishing from Alabama.  As you can see they are in water shallow enough to stand in.  They caught many sharks that day up to 8 feet long on light tackle spin.

Here’s Rob holding one of his biggest snook to date.  The fish was caught last week inside Everglades National Park near Flamingo.  The snook population is really bouncing back now after the freeze of January 2010.  Rob caught a couple dozen Snook and a few Tarpon during his fishing charter.

Baby Poonage

Here’s Capt. Rich standing next to John who’s holding a baby Tarpon caught on fly last week.  He had a blast catching these guys all day long for 3 straight days.  They also caught a whole mess of small snook on the fly as well.  End of summer and into the winter is great for this sort of fishing in South Florida.
